It's so hard to believe that two months of 2017 are already over! February has been a busy month for me, and these ten great tunes helped me get through it. Remember to follow the Spotify playlist by clicking here, or click on the song titles for Youtube and Soundcloud links.

"Something Here" by Day Wave
Jackson Phillips has been creating percussive, melodic dream-pop for years under the name Day Wave. His newest single, "Something Here" is percussion and bass heavy, while airy vocals lighten everything up. The song keeps consistent to Phillips' previous work, while hosting a bigger, more mature sound. Be sure to look out for Day Wave's debut album, The Days We Had, which is due in May.

"New Skin" by Beach Weather
The best way to describe this band is simply by telling you their name. Beach Weather's single "New Skin", off their 2015 EP What a Drag, sounds as if it were pulled directly from a summer road trip scene in a movie. Terribly catchy with its driving guitar, dynamically diverse vocals, and solid beat, this song will make February chills turn into July sunburns.

"Arms of Another" by Marsicans
This Leeds four-piece are just infectious. Combining fast drum taps and high guitar riffs with clever lyrics and harmonies, their single "Arms of Another" is just impossible to not sing along to. Marsicans brand of alt rock is driven by its earworm-pop-like choruses, making every one of their songs a hit. If you like "Arms of Another", be sure to check out their most recently released bop, "Friends".

"Buttercup" by Hippo Campus
Yesterday, Hippo Campus released their highly anticipated debut LP, Landmark. It's beautiful, honest, youthful, and mature all wrapped into one, while their signature layered alt rock style stays true. "Buttercup" is the last song on the album, closing everything off with a coming-of-age punch. Jaunty guitar lines paired with repeated lyric "I'll be fine on my own" build an irresistible anthem.

Nashville natives COIN are back and bigger than ever with their latest single, "I Don't Wanna Dance". The February 16th release was long awaited by fans, and it surpassed expectations. Featuring cool synths, driving percussion, and an addictive hook, this song about not dancing will get you doing just the opposite. Watch out for COIN's upcoming sophomore album, which is rumoured to be out in the Spring.

"Orthodox Man" by Blaenavon
In January, UK rockers Blaenavon released their newest single, "Orthodox Man". The song starts off sounding slow and almost dark, but builds anticipation through the first verse. Packed with anthem like "ooh ah oohs" and sharp guitar lines that trail along with the melody, as the song builds in sound, it also builds excitement for more. Along with the single, the band also announced that their debut album, That's Your Lot, will be out in April.

"Indian Summer" by HOAX
With a hooky melody and sun-kissed guitar riffs that will be stuck in your head forever, HOAX's latest jam, "Indian Summer", will cure your February blues. Using the term "Indian summer" as a metaphor for a relationship that went on too long, this song is not only melodically alluring, but lyrically deep. Strangely surreal and quite honest, this song is one you can't miss out on.

"Paralyzed" by Hardcastle
"Paralyzed" is the debut single from Nashville-based band Hardcastle, although it really doesn't sound like a first release. The song is unbelievably catchy, and very obviously influenced by modern indie rock, yet still a style very much their own. With stellar percussion, impressive guitar work, and a chorus that's larger than life, "Paralyzed" is completely engrossing.

"Panama" by Sports
Dust off your sunglasses and sunscreen and get ready to relax with "Panama". This song off Sports' 2015 album, Naked All the Time is a hazy, vibey, tropical masterpiece. With washed out harmonies, sunny guitar, and solid percussion, the song is completely entrancing. If you close your eyes, it almost feels like this song is coming out of the crackly speakers at an outdoor pool as you lay on one of those plastic recliners.

"Darling" by Real Estate
Real Estate's latest tune is dreamy alt rock at its finest. Soothing, yearning vocals are a constant, while guitar and bass lines compliment each other flawlessly. Overall, the song is breezily calming, fitting with the band's signature unhurried style. The January release of this song also came with a promise of a new album, In Mind, set for March.
